Ebola Update July 16, 2014.
Eighty-five (85) patients have to date survived the disease, discharged and now back with their families in their various communities. These sixty survivors reported to health facilities early for treatment when they started exhibiting signs and symptoms of Ebola
For the 15th July 2014, a total of 29 samples were received by the Laboratory: Kailahun (15), Kenema (12) and Western Area (2). All of these results are… pending. The previous 7 pending results are still in for re-testing
The cumulative number of Laboratory confirmed cases are 367 and confirmed deaths are 121
Seventy-one(71) patients are currently admitted at the Kenema and Kailahun Isolation Units
NB: when we compared the previous laboratory day report, number of confirmed cumulative cases has been reduced due to duplication of cases in Western Area and Port Loko district
