Acid test for Samura Kamara – led APC : Nation waits keenly to see if party will be as obdurate as the Siaka Stevens/ S.I. Koroma APC

ACID TEST FOR SAMURA KAMARA APC

By Kabs Kanu

Time to speak truth to power within our beloved Mighty APC has come.

The true character (Turgidity, spine, resilience, undefeatable strong will, faithfulness to the demands of the grassroots and seriousness over its own future) of the post- Siaka Stevens/ S. I. Koroma / C. A . Camara – Taylor / Nancy Steele/ Akibo Power APC is about to be tested by how they engage in and emerge from the forthcoming brinksmanship with the SLPP in negotiations to be conducted by international stakeholders.

The old APC of Siaka Stevens / S. I would have been trusted to give SLPP fire and brimstone and would not have yielded an inch of ground until all their demands were met. We, the people, are looking up to the present APC of Samura Kamara, Minkailu Mansaray, Osman Yansaneh and Lansana Dumbuya to demonstrate the same old APC spine and spirit of DO OR DIE . The present APC executive are about to be tested in the fiery furnace of faithfulness to the values that epitomized the APC when it fought and defeated the SLPP of Sir Albert Margai.

We will expect nothing less. SLPP must release the disaggregated polling stations results or accept that the whole elections were rigged and order a rerun under international supervision. There will be no true resolution of the crisis and reconciliation without this. Our MPs and councilors must not take their seats at all without the fulfillment of these conditions.

APC must not surrender its demands for any reason.

Maada Bio must not be allowed to get away with bold-faced daylight robbery and impunity.

I am confident that Samura Kamara and his indomitable team will represent APC with honor, panache and boldness and they will give nothing away.

The future of the APC depends on the forthcoming talks. What we stand fast to achieve from these talks will determine whether APC will smell power again in Sierra Leone.
