PRESS RELEASE
THREE ACC VEHICLES DAMAGED BY DISORDERLY CONDUCT
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) wishes to inform the general public that on the 27th April 2016 between 13:00 and 14:00 hours, a group of persons attacked its 3 Gloucester Street office and vandalized part of its building and some of its operational vehicles.
Upon seeing our armed guard, they pelted stones at our vehicles and building causing damage provisionally estimated to be between fifty and hundred million Leones.
This damage to the vehicles come at a time when the Commission is grappling with its operational fleet to carry out its activities.
The Commission considers this act by vandals, unacceptable. Meanwhile the Sierra Leone Police is investigating the matter.
The ACC remains resolved and undeterred in the fight against corruption in Sierra Leone
