In a circulating audio clip on various social media platforms, Kashor J. Hollande Cole, Chairman of the APC party’s Western Region, clarified that the party couldn’t take disciplinary actions against members Mohamed Bangura and Alfred Thompson due to the party’s new constitution.

He says the constitution mandates the establishment of a disciplinary committee which will constitute members from NAC and others for such cases.

Kashor added that the committee has now been constituted, and both Mohammed and Thompson have been notified to appear before it. He also mentioned that several organizations, including the UN, have expressed interest in meeting with the party.

A meeting has been scheduled to start on Monday and among many other issues the party would raise is the re-run of the election and the release of their members who are in custody.

He suggested the need for an impartial body, possibly involving the UN, to mediate the situation.
