The All People’s Congress (APC) has officially confirmed its return to governance, bringing an end to weeks of uncertainty surrounding its role in Sierra Leone’s political process.

The announcement was first made by Aminata Sesay during a public engagement, where she stated that the party had resumed its governance responsibilities. The position was later reinforced by the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, who confirmed that the APC’s return takes immediate effect.

“The APC has returned to governance effectively immediately, and that matter has now been laid to rest,” he stated.

 

The development marks a significant shift in Sierra Leone’s political landscape, signaling renewed cooperation between the APC and the Government following months of tension and political uncertainty.
