Retired Brigadier Maada Bio is the most heartless , ruthless, callous , barbarous, wanton , unremorseful , malevolent , shameless and serpentine President in Africa today .
Bio , who unfortunately for the sorry people of Sierra Leone , holds power unlawfully after rigging the 2023 elctions, has no respect for law, order, convention, edict, custom , standard , precept, accord ——the only things he regards sacred are his greed for money, power, self- perpetuation, territorial hegemony etc. With his ugy shape and oafish face, he has become the picture of everything that is wrong in Africa.
Maada Bio was never ever cut out to be President of a civilized country like Sierra Lene but a gruesome accident of carelessness, recklessness, lethargy, apathy and thoughtless blunders by the then ruling APC and a cruel regime change mantra masterminded by the then criminal British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, their Excellency Guy Warrington , propelled the monsterous Maada Bio to the apogee of leadersip.
Since Maada Bio came to power, he has run the country completely aground . People are suffering like dogs in America without owners .
Prices of basic food commodities have gone through the roof. Not many people are able to provide one square meal a day for themselves and their families anymore in Sierra Leone. Life is miserable, brutish and short but the President does not care. There is no place to sleep. Dirt poor people and deprived youth sleep under bridges and in cemetries. Men and women without conscience Bio has appointed as spinmasters paint a completely different photo of Sierra Leone on social media . They sculpt a Sierra Leone where everything flows with milk and honey .
The President is aware of the pitiful suffering that has spread through the nation but he is too greedy for money and power to care. Kush and deadly drugs , consumed mostly out of frustration and futility, leave dead bodies lying and rotting in the streets everyday but the President does not care. He is a beneficiary. He gave his daughter’s hand in marriage to the convicted and wanted Netherlands international druglord , Bolle Jos, who he is hosting in Sierra Leone, in defiance to the nation and the international community. He dances with his awkward and munku steps in public functions like everything is honky dory in the country because he is enriching himself daily from the spoils of corrupt power . The President also spends most of the time traveling around the globe , bringing nothing back home in return .
The President runs a puppet governance structure. Like the celebrated puppeteer he is, he sits down at State House controlling everything in Sierra Leone , from the media to the judiciary; from Parliament to the civil society; from the armed forces to even the intellectuals, who have sold their conscience.
Anger for Maada Bio has risen to tremendous heights in Sierra Leone and outside the country . To stem the tide of the loathing, Maada Bio offers millions of dollars to corrupt organizations like ECOWAS and the AU to either make him Chairman or head of subsidiary bodies or give him dumb awards to cover his nakedness.
Maada Bio is Public Enemy No. 1 in Sierra Leone and a pariah in the international arena but he continues to get away with it, but for how long ? Your guess is as good as mine .
