HOW THE SLPP PARTY DESTROYED SIERRA LEONE
THE PROPOSED SLPP FLAWED BILL COULD LEAD SIERRA LEONE TO HELL OR HEAVEN AFTER THE 2023 ELECTIONS
Since independence, all bills that the citizens of Sierra Leone frowned at, considered unnecessary, wasteful, and undemocratic, are usually introduced by SLPP party administrations.
The MPs for the ruling SLPP party administration have proposed a new bill that could bring chaos if passed, because our country is not currently in a circumstance that may trigger the introduction of such nasty and dangerous bill and the proposed is absolutely against the wishes of the majority of the people of Sierra Leone.
Another reason why criminal Bio and his unproductive SLPP party administration should not introduce this flawed bill is because, this administration did not engage with the people of Sierra Leone to find if voters are ready to accept this bill.
Part of the reason why effective policy implementation fails is because elected officials usually fail to respect and include the the views and opinions of the targeted beneficiaries of the law or policy. In the case of Sierra Leone, with regards the new bill that was introduced by the SLPP party to circumvent the electoral process for obvious reasons, the targeted beneficiaries are the people of Sierra Leone. It is relevant that Bio and his SLPP supporters respect the views of the public including those who oppose the proposed flawed bill, so that the people of Sierra Leone will benefit from a good law or reject it completely if they feel it violates their political rights and liberties.
The current developments showed that the SLPP do not respect the views of the people. The SLPP party supporters thought introducing this bill would serve their negative and unproductive political intentions.
The SLPP party supporters want this bill passed immediately so that they will be able to circumvent the electoral process in 2023, given that the regime knows by all indications, that the SLPP party will loose the general elections in 2023.
My view is that members of the SLPP party are playing a dangerous game with the people of Sierra Leone. Since they already know that their party will loose the 2023 elections, so to ensure that members of the SLPP have firm control over the opposition strongholds of the North/west of Sierra Leone, they are ready pass a flawed bill that will allow them to place, force or put core and fanatic mendecrat supporters of the SLPP party in those areas in APC areas. Their motives are clear and obvious, because having SLPP supporters in the North and West of Sierra Leone even though they will represent people in districts where the people are not SLPP supporters and did not vote for them, that situation will allow SLPP MPs to deprive and become an obstacle that will prevent next administration from performing it functions effectively.
Since the proposed electoral system allows the party to PLANT candidates on the people against their wishes, it will allow SLPP to force candidates who will represent the views and opinions of the SLPP party in APC party strongholds and grassroots supporters and violate the political rights of the people and the constitution of Sierra Leone, which clearly gives the people of Sierra Leone to vote for their parliamentary representatives through their constituencies, not a block voting system that will allow the SLPP to destroy the political rights and liberties of Sierra Leone and and put force their core Mende candidates in APC party strongholds in the North/West of the country.
Sierra Leone may go to hell or heaven after the 2023 elections.
