PRESIDENT KOROMA SHOULD BE AWARE OF POLITICAL APOLOGISTS IN THE COUNTRY AND SHEEP IN WOLVES CLOTHING IN THE APC

By: Unisa Thorlu Conteh (APC pikin)

We have been in politics for a long time now, and We’ve seen administrations come and go, but this time around has got us feeling a little bittersweet.

You see, President Koroma ignited a spark in Sierra Leone political history nine years ago. He believed we needed to change the trajectory of our country for the better, together. During his two terms as president, more than 1 million people (pregnant women, children under-5, lactating mothers) have gained access to free healthcare, thousands of jobs have been created since early 2009, our socioeconomic is booming, and despite what the detractors and failed opposition operatives are trying to tell everyone, our economy is alive and thriving after recovering from the deadly Ebola virus and the 2008 worst global economic recession since the Great Depression.

The road has been long, and it has definitely been rough but we have made significant strides forward as a country. But all of the progress that we’ve worked so hard for over these last nine years is at stake, and if these bunch of desperate failed opposition who have coined themselves as Coalition for Change (C4C) wins this forthcoming elections, We can guarantee you all that the progress been made by President Koroma it will all be undone, and our country will be taken backwards by decades. Because these guys are on a revenge spree, they can do anything to retrogress our Country to nothing.

The bitterness and grudges that has been engulfed into our partisan politics of which the SLPP, and desperate failed politicians of a misguided Coalition and the moles and snitches within our APC party, who are against the developmental programs of the APC government, by trying to undermine this government and make all kinds of nonsense propaganda to score cheap political points; the political tolerance and accommodation from President Ernest Bai Koroma in our Country’s politics is incomprehensible.

Some of these people within the APC, who are so bitter to an extent that they don’t mind sabotaging all the effort and significant gains the APC has made in Sierra Leone, their behaviors are just beyond any reasonable person guess, some of these individuals were given the opportunity to serve in this government, but guess what?, most of them did not perform to the expectations of the President and the general citizenry; therefore, they were kicked out from their various social positions of trust. It is very much annoying for these forlorn folks who are thinking that the Presidential baton should be handed over to them on a silver platter, or as a souvenir for failure?

The fact remains that, President Koroma has done a phenomenal job in Sierra Leone, and his popularity is of no contest to none, and his popularity still resonates within the four Corners of Sierra Leone, from all and sundry; so why can’t he be given the chance to select his successor without putting up a fight with your failed cabal?.

For the few of you, who are full of rage and anger, and we want you to understand that most of us who were not lucky to served in President Koroma’s administration still wondering on what grounds are you bitter?… Getting into good trouble means standing up to injustice, sabotages, snitches and sanctimonious individuals, when we have something to say and decide to get in the way and we make a little noise about it, because we want the best for our APC party and Our Country.

These concerns should be addressed publicly, we are not going to pretend as if some of these old guards are not forming an internal coalition to give the President a hard time not to select new faces, we have heard of their secret planning and how they are trying to bribe their way up to our honest and devoted members in the National Advisory Council (NAC).. But the more they planned their evil ways, the more their sinister motives come to the limelight, and the more the President see more reason to trust the new ones with lesser baggage to succeed him when his time is up, with the guidance and grace of the Almighty God.

Some of you may wonder, why we are this blunt to expose this kind of hypocrisy and sinister motives by Comrades who have benefited handsomely under this administration, but we are not afraid to call this kind of disturbing reality; well, the truth of the matter is that we all have to die one day, and sitting idle without saying a word or do not do anything in regards to a position that will make you unhappy for the rest of your life, as Martin Luther King opined that, “The hottest place in hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict.”

Therefore, we see good reason(s) to talk now, and in every Nation around the world, going for a third consecutive win in an election is not an easy job, its a very Herculean task to go through, and all hands should be on deck or else some of us will never see the APC again in power, during our time of existence in this world.

As patriots and core nationalists and blue blooded born APC Pikin, We are interested in seeing stability in a country that tasted the scourges and bitterness of war and knowing how vindictive and power-drunk the SLPP party is, We will advise President Koroma not to sit on his oars.
In as much as we’re enjoying political tolerance by accommodating the opposition SLPP party, the come to naught desperate coalition and other disgruntled members of the party to take part in the development of Sierra Leone is on our President agenda, but our President should bear in mind that the enemy will only succeed in destroying him and his good works when the enemy gets closer to him.

As True APCiers, we believe in democracy and the rule of law, and we want to see more democracy, not less. We’ve made tremendous progress as a Country under President Koroma APC led government, but forward motion is not a guarantee. We’re facing many distraught opposition presidential candidates including the main opposition SLPP and the bunch of political losers in the so called coalition for change party, that want to take us back to another place and another time that we cannot afford to return to.

We strongly believe that President Koroma is well informed, and he knows those that have hidden agenda within his midst, they continue to smile to his face, but bitterly holding a huge amount of grudge for him behind close doors, we know the advice from his predecessor Late President Tejan Kabba, should be ringing in his ears daily as his time to exit power is drawing closer, the closer we are to the convention and the election dates, the more they will distance themselves from him, he needs to prepare his mind for that, and ensure that his replacement is not based on loyalty, but based on the fact of who is the most qualified candidates that will see the APC with another outstanding victory in the first rounds.
President Koroma primary concern should be as of now how to see us through in this transitional period, and not who’s going to protect him,(because even the opposition can struck down a deal on that,to protect him) his paramount concern should be to leave the APC party in governance to continue his legacy; with 100% certainty we believe his work ethics are already protected and will earned him a dignified legacy that can never be questioned or replaced. He will retire as a fine State Man that will be respected across the entire Africa and the world as a whole.

We have seen schemes and conspiracies of the SLPP during the late President Siaka Stevens and Joseph Saidu Momoh, where they accommodated partisans of the SLPP but in the end they brought in terror, coup d’état, and civil war in Sierra Leone because they want power at all cost with the haphazard notion that Serra Leone is only for them, on that note, we should start treating any public or media threats with all seriousness.

The evidence for this assertions is, the 11-year tenure of the SLPP brought untold suffering, humiliation and deaths to Northerners and many innocent Sierra Leoneans. When they took power, they came with vengeance, murdered people in cold-blood because of their ethnicity and political affiliations and today’s families of those murdered are seeking and crying for justice, we do not want a repeat of that, therefore; we are very hopeful that your selection is in the best interest of the APC Party, and not just your personal interest Mr. President.

President Koroma your coming to power is exemplary because you didn’t take power to revenge or get personal with your opponents, you even forgive the Late Tom N’yumah who was hired by the SLPP to assassinate you in a hotel in Bo during the electioneering campaign which is an indication that you are not vindictive and you’re God fearing, you made peace with the Late Pa Kamal and Pa Eddie Turay and even hired people that were not supporters of you during the time of your Presidential bid, not a single political prisoner, Press Freedom is at it best, as compare to the preceding government, you have shown to the world that you’re the best our Country has ever seen. However, you should closely watch your back because those who purport to support you or join the bandwagon for the development in Sierra Leone have hidden agendas, they come as sheep in wolves clothing, but they’re a ravenous wolves ready to tear and cause mayhem.

Mr. President, the love from across the Sierra Leonean spectrum (East, West, North and South.) they have for you its immeasurable.
But can these Sierra Leoneans who have strong faith, with love and respect for you sit-by and allow barbarians and hooligans of the defunct SLPP, and the heavily distraught group of failed coalition politician and few disgruntled APC saboteurs within to victimize and annihilate our Party or President Koroma legacy?.

Election Day is SO SOON. If you feel like We do — a little anxious, a little like “oh my goodness we could win this but so could these detractors and if we lose We genuinely don’t know how We’ll look ourselves in the mirror on that day.” there’s an easy thing you can do right now to make a difference Mr President.
Let’s don’t ignored the overwhelming opposition that is coming from their constituents from these desperate folks who want to lead at all cost — and let’s make sure their constituents throw them out off their sight and put them on the tantrum for auction.

In as much as you have the support from the majority of Sierra Leoneans and the international community but don’t sit on your oars because doing so, can jeopardize your support base, and your legacy and the party when the SLPP will assume power or when/if there’s a break within the APC . As you are aware the SLPP is no respecter of life and international law. They defied the international community when Ex- President Kabbah was asked for restraint from executing soldiers and civilians that were falsely accused of collaborating in ousting their government from power and they were not given the due process of the law to defend themselves in a competent court of justice and with the NPRC junta, a surrogate of the SLPP party committing the same crimes with impunity.

Mr. President we’ll continue to be indebted for the good work you are doing for Sierra Leone and we will do everything to support you and unearth any clandestine activities the SLPP, the desolate coalition for change, and some few irate dissembler (APC) within wants to implement in Sierra Leone during the next Presidential election 2018.

Mr. President Now is the time when we have to dig deep, double down, and give it everything we’ve got in these last few months to the general elections, because everything we’ve worked for over the last nine years is at stake Sir.
The journey from here on out is going to be tough, and draining — but remember all of the things that we are on the verge of losing if we don’t stop these desperate opposition folks from being elected in governance. We should ensure that when we face off these bunch of desperadoes in the forthcoming, we should send an even louder message that we’re standing together as a team. It’s going to be a big political fight for this team. The APC party is going to show the world exactly how qualified we are for this job, to continue your legacy, and lay out all the reasons why we can’t let these bandit of unsuccessful politicians near the seat of power (State House).

However, as you see the wind of change is blowing in the world, were dictators and human rights abusers are brought to justice; and coalition merging to unseat a ruling party, we should not thread lightly or take things for granted, Mr. President, by now, you should have a team of young foot soldiers on the ground, working assidously day in, day out, round the clock, in our strong holds, to make sure that we are on top of issues, and understanding them better. We in Sierra Leone are calling on your government to implement the proposed inquest so that the aggrieved families of those murdered in cold blood and other collaborators of this act of impunity be brought to justice. Until justice prevails, the victims of the outrageous murders carried out by the NPRC and the SLPP will not rest in peace..
