The recent deportation of Sierra Leoneans from Guinea is deeply shameful that has cast a shadow of disgrace over the spirit of unity and cooperation championed by the African Union (AU) and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Such actions undermine the principles of regional solidarity and good neighbourliness that both organizations strive to uphold. The close historical, cultural, and social ties between Guinea and Sierra Leone make this incident even more distressing and perplexing.

Guinea and Sierra Leone share more than just a border; they share centuries of intertwined histories, familial bonds, and mutual economic dependencies. The two nations have consistently demonstrated solidarity, particularly during times of crisis, such as the civil war in Sierra Leone, when Guinea provided refuge and support to countless Sierra Leoneans. This deep relationship should serve as a foundation for dialogue and mutual understanding rather than punitive actions like mass deportations.

This situation raises serious concerns about reciprocity and fairness. If Sierra Leone were to retaliate by taking similar actions against Guineans residing in its territory, it could spark a cycle of hostility and jeopardize the peaceful coexistence of the two nations. Such tit-for-tat measures would only harm innocent citizens and erode the trust and cooperation that have defined their bilateral relationship for decades.

Furthermore, actions like these go against the objectives of ECOWAS, which aims to promote free movement, regional integration, and socio-economic development across West Africa. Deportations of this nature not only violate the rights of individuals but also weaken the collective strength and unity of the region. The AU, too, must address this issue with urgency, as it reflects poorly on the continent’s commitment to fostering harmony and protecting the dignity of all Africans.

It is imperative that Guinea reconsiders its actions and seeks to resolve any underlying issues through constructive dialogue with Sierra Leone. Leaders from both nations must prioritize diplomacy, engage in open discussions, and work towards reinforcing the bonds that unite their peoples. Only through mutual respect and collaboration can both countries preserve the peace and prosperity they have long enjoyed.

DR. MUSA VIBBIE WRITES

We are watching keenly the disrespect Sierra Leoneans citizens are still facing in Guinea and other countries, and we aren’t happy at all. Is disrespectful, and we expect the government to find a diplomatic way to solve it immediately, or else we shall return any Guinean citizens that live in Sierra Leone. Our country boarders are too open to foreigners and we are too nice to foreigners, that foreigners can kill a Sierra Leonean in their own country without any repercussions. Enough of this nonsense.

I have travelled right across the continent, Africa, Asia, Europe, and America, and every country or continent protects it people against foreign people. Our country is so nice, which allowed has led us to economic problems. Foreigners are taking so much wealth from our country, leaving it people in scattered poverty.

AN OPEN LETTER TO
MR PRESIDENT
✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️
🇸🇱🇸🇱🇸🇱🇸🇱🇸🇱🇸🇱🇸🇱
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Dear Mr President

Subject matter _
INHUMANE AND DISRESPECTFUL TREATMENT OF SIERRA LEONE 🇸🇱 CITIZENS BY GUINEA JUNTA TRANSITIONAL AUTHORITY.

Mr president of the Republic of Sierra Leone (incumbent), Dr Julius Maada Bio, I hope this message finds you in good pleasure as Fountain Of Honor and Commander _ In_Chief of the armed Forces of the great Republic.

Before I proceed, your Excellency, I am delighted to introduce myself as an ex_service detective/Police personnel in the Sierra Leone police _SLP for a period of 30 years and fortunately rose to the humble rank of an Assistant superintendent of police _D/Asp since 7th February 1992 after taking my oath of allegiance at PTS…now SILEA, in order to serve and loyal to my country 🇸🇱 and my humble and hospitable people. My recruit number was PC 1340 Mohamed Taiwo kamara.

Just to remind you, your Excellency, on the verge of our passing out from training school scheduled for may in 1992 after the return of president Joseph saidu momoh who never returned from the visit in china, incidentally the NPRC hunter took over in April of the same year.

We now passed out under the your regime _ NPRC as full fledged police men and women of the Republic 🇸🇱.
I can still vividly recall that I’ve faithfully served Mr president on 3 different capacities, ie during NPRC 1, NPRC 2, and later briefly as democratically elected president _ 2018 to 2020 I believe.
Presently am a proud member of the opposition ALL PEOPLES CONGRESS _ APC🚩🇸🇱, besides am the Chief Executive Officer _ #CEO for the APC 🚩🇸🇱 Tonkolili District Trustees online media platform based in Tonkolili.

Mr president, I wish to assure you that I’m not inclined to write this message to u and your Government _ SLPP 🌴 paopa on the basis of political expediency or trying to put the government to ridicule or disrepute sir.

I am doing this purposefully on national security interest, loyalty to my country, and inadvertently to review bilateral or multilateral partnership between our Republic _ Sierra Leone and the current Guinean authorities. Am aware of the complex situations involved for a democratic Government dealing with a military style ruler.

And I also want to bring to your attention that the current transition administration consists of a kind of a UNITY AGREEMENT led by the leader Col mohamadu Dumbuya, the primary minister ousmani or so Oury/Wurie Bah and a rainbow of almost all local tribes in guinea. And I would also like to draw the attention of not only you, Mr president, but the public that guinea is going through a transition process eventually to a civilian rule.

On the above premise, sir, I wish to express my strong sentiments on the way and manner those Guinean authorities unfairly and inhumanely treated our citizens in the capital, an incident that went viral around the world which I consider an eye sore and an affront to our current standard n position in the UNITED NATION SECURITY COUNCIL _ UNSC as a proud member of the global community. Sierra Leone was not selected in the process in 2023 to that enviable seat, but was democratically ELECTED alongside other proud nations in Africa for the period January 2024_ December 2025 and d Guineans realized this fact.

Mr President if I could remind you further, your very esteemed personality have in this year’s 2024 presided over the business of the united Nations Security council as CHAIR. This gesture is a once in a life’s time. Therefore, if the current Guinean authorities blinded their eyes on this, without no iota of respect for the highest office in the UNITED NATION where classic decisions are taken for global PEACE and SECURITY, I wonder after this opportunity in 2026 our people may suffer the greatest human degradation across Africa.

Either we act NOW, or we have been subjugated to the whims and caprices of the Guineans who may want to domicile there in d spirit of mutual respect and common life.

Our relationship with Guineans have spanned long ago after the colonial masters de_amalgamated the British colony. Sierra Leone and Liberia are the founding fathers of the MRU . Because of mutual respect and cooperation for security and fair trade development president Ahmed Sekou Toure was graciously invited by his friends and brothers President Dr Siaka Probyn Stevens of Sierra Leone and president William Torlbert in Liberia to form a common frontier for mutual collaboration, cooperation and coordination. Ever since our relationship ship with guinea have been friendship and mutual respect. When one of those in the MRU sneezes the other catch cold, especially in the case of guinea and Liberia to our country.

However, Mr president, as a senior citizen and a fully registered member of the opposition demands for due diligence to handle this unfortunate events in order to restore the dignity and sanctity of the GREEN, WHITE and BLUE emblem for which you promised us to uphold it’s values, and PLEDGE your love and love for your country and countrymen. Act swiftly Mr president in order to avoiding rising sentiments.

Tell mamadi Dumbuya that despite he’s a military coup leader, he must have the humility to respect the due process of the Rule Of Law as enshrined in the Rome statute.

Our people are not criminals as they world have perceived us, our compatriots are only there to fend for themselves a greener pastures due to the challenges in our country.

Mr president, I can attest that these guys considered today as irrelevant were the same labourers used and misused on peanuts wages by this same hunter regime, they local councils n the Chinese to clear filth, road construction and other valuable infrastructure they can be proud of today around their country….now our people are dumped and deprived to enjoy the honest fruits of their labour.

Finally, Mr president, in as much as I initially have reservations on the outburst of the deputy ambassador to guinea, madam Fatmata sawanneh at gbalamuya crossing point on a diplomatic point, I however wish to publicly commended her actions feeling appalled the way our mothers, babies n children, youths_ men and women of their great 💪 republic by the way and manner they endured cruel treatment they don’t deserve. There are protocols and procedures in both local and international matters are been handled, especially when it comes to migration, immigration and refugee handling. Guinean authorities violated and despised all this moral obligations and chose to step on the tail of a friendly lion 🦁

. I personally consider this an affront in dealing with a proud member of the UNSC…..what are friends for??
Some punitive Actions are needed pronto in order to restore the dignity of our country 🇸🇱 and break the shackles of impunity.
I suppose guinea is a member of the united Nations general assembly and we expect them to do the needful no matter d situation.

This is a move to test the resolve of ALL citizens to stand in unity solidly behind our government to pursue this matter to it’s logical conclusion.

We urge all to remain calm but pay keen attention to the unfolding events.
Thank you Mr president for taking your busy schedule to read this lengthy green 🌴 letter….we are waiting to see Actions and a REDD 🛑 LETTER to mamadi Dumbuya n his regime to give us a full official explanation on this all important affairs.

Keenly looking forward to a swift response and a collective decisive action.
We need a full account!!!
My compliments of the season 🌹 sir, and to your family 🙏🙏🙏

A Wake-Up Call to the People of Sierra Leone.

Greetings, fellow citizens of Sierra Leone, I, the Great Lioness from the North, stand before you once again to deliver an urgent message—a call to awaken and reclaim our rights. It is time for us to rise up and confront the challenges we face as a nation, beginning with the unfortunate events that transpired in Conakry, Guinea. This is a clear violation of Sierra Leone’s sovereignty, and it’s something we must not ignore. However, we cannot turn a blind eye to the facts. The leader of Guinea, Junta leader Mamadu Dumbuya, is showing a level of patriotism for his country that stands in stark contrast to the actions of our former president, Julius Maada Bio. Bio, a man who has failed us, has shown no vision, no commitment, and no purpose for Sierra Leone’s progress. His leadership has been a complete disappointment to the people, and it is clear to all who have eyes to see that his time has come to an end. But I come not just to speak of the failures of the past, but to bring hope for the future. Dr. Samura Kamara is the leader we deserve—a man who stands for the democratic values that will guide Sierra Leone toward a brighter tomorrow. Soon, he will be the next democratically elected president of our beloved nation.

To those who are currently in positions of power, such as Minkailu Mansaray, Foday Yansaneh, Abdul Karim Kargbo, and others—understand this: your time is running out. Democracy will soon restore the voice of the people, and you will be held accountable for your actions. If God wills, justice will prevail, and electoral justice will be served.

Let us all rise, for we are the people, and it is our time to take charge of our destiny.

Sincerely,
The Great Lioness from the North
