Thus to investigating human rights abuses, public theft, and undemocratic practices by the SLPP, who would be part of the government in a power-sharing arrangement, would pose significant challenges if the APC were in power for the following reasons:

1 The APC might face resistance from the SLPP, who would have a stake in protecting their own interests and party members. This could lead to obstruction or manipulation of any investigations.

2 With the SLPP being part of the government, the APC might question the independence of investigative bodies, such as the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) or the Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone (HRCSL).

3 The distribution of power and influence within the government could impact the willingness of investigative bodies to pursue cases against the SLPP.This could mean that the Government comprising of both the APC and SLPP might not be willing to pursue an investigation of it partner in government for fear of the collapse of the power sharing, by extension the government.
