Traffic thin in Freetown as fuel disappears, amidst fears of another increase at the pump

Traffic was thin in Freetown yesterday as fuel shortage hit the country, amidst fears that the government was planning another price increase at the fuel pumps. Many passengers were stranded because of the petrol shortage.

The Government of Sierra Leone has remained silent on these new developments while fears now abound that another increase in prices of petroleum products might be in the pipeline.
