_Sierra Leone is a lovely garden flowing with milk and honey, blessed with abundant wealth, marine resources, good climate and fertile soil. It was divinely ordained by the Almighty Creator of the whole universe that through the division by the French and British colonialists, the state of Sierra Leone was established._
_According to the will of the awesome Yahweh, the Portuguese explorer Pedro De Cintra landed in the country after sailing thousands of miles and gave the name “the Lion Mountain” which is now Sierra Leone.
The two tribes that were found in the country were Limbas and Lokkos. Later other tribes, the Temnes, Mendes and others migrated here including the slaves who were freed after the abolition of slavery. There were later marriages, inter-tribal wars for possession of lands, but by Divine Intervention the British Colonialists brought Western Education and Sierra Leone became the Athens of learning in West Africa. The first University in West Africa , Fourah Bay College, was established and it catered for other leaders in West Africa._
_However, with a population of about five and half million people the country attained independent on 27th April 1961 under the leadership of the *1st Primer Minister Sir Dr. Milton Margai* . From 27th April 1951-1960, the spirit of patriotism in Sierra Leone was unquestionable. In 1967 after the general elections result, the bloody spirit of unpatriotism invaded the country dividing people into ethnic camps that resulted in the military coup of late *Brigadier Lansana and Juxon Smith*. Patriotism was introduced in 1968 until 1992 when the NPRC coup toppled the government of *Ex-President Joseph Saidu Momoh.*_
_Party policies was suspended ; military decree-cancers of unpatriotism reared their ugly hydra-heads. Despite the introduction of the National Pledge that was sung and recited in schools, colleges and universities, the notorious and barbaric 11 years rebel war escalated the degree of non-patriotism in the country. The land of milk and honey became the bread basket for foreigners but the land of miseries, untold bloodshed and poverty for the indigenes who became third class citizens in their own country.
Corruption, tribalism, mismanagement, hatred and greed became the gospel of political leadership. Patriotism became an anathema; brotherly love became foreign ; trust was absent and some Sierra Leoneans began treating fellow Sierra Leoneans as wicked aliens. There was no love for the country and people were praying for bloodshed and war. Even after the 2007 Presidential, Parliamentary General Elections , some politicians were vociferously agitated that Sierra Leone will become another Rwanda. The philosophy and ideology of the Altitudinal Behavioural Change was initiated by *Ex-President P.C, Dr. Ernest Bai Bureh Koroma* in 2007 to usher in a new birth, new hope, new life, new and unflinching loyalty to Mother Sierra Leone._
_The concept and practicality of the Agenda for Change in Energy, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Education and health are geared toward rebuilding and socio-economic growth of the nation. Yet there are few inimical people whose devilish minds were fomenting treacherous plans to plunge the country into chaos and disaster._
_It is the abounding duty of all Sierra Leoneans, to develop and implement unflinching support/loyalty to the country in the implementation of development programmes. Let us put aside hatred, greed, tribalism, regionalism, nepotism and embrace ourselves as brothers and sisters, mandated by Almighty Yahweh to develop and live peacefully in our beloved Sierra Leone._
