Because of the tireless efforts the Hon. Minister of information and communications, Dr. Alhaji Alpha Bakarr Sahid Kanu , and his profound political Leadership he provided in Port Loko District in the fight against the EBOLA virus disease, the organization, Diaspora Focus on Friday Dec. 11, recognized and thanked the Minister with a meritorious award for what it described as his ” dynamic leadership and the fight against Ebola”
In his usual humble response, the Minister expressed his appreciation and dedicated the award all those frontline workers and the innocent and unsuspecting souls who passed away due to EBOLA. ” I am particularly grateful to President Koroma, the Chief Social Mobiliser for providing the overall political leadership in the fight against the Ebola virus disease”. Dr Alpha Kanu said!
Hon. Dr. Alhaji Alpha Bakarr Sahid Kanu, Minister of Information and Communications, deserves the honour and respect of residents of Port Loko District for the bold steps taken under the directives of his boss, His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, in tackling the Ebola Virus epidemic in that particular area and the entire country in general.
I wish to add my voice and convey heartfelt congratulations to The developmental – oriented Minister of Information and Communications, Hon. Dr. Alhaji Alpha Bakarr Sahid Kanu. It pleases the mind of every reasonable son and daughter of Port Loko or anywhere else in the country to recognize exemplary performance of Hon. Dr. Alpha S. Kanu in taking such a giant stride on the fight against the Ebola Virus disease!
May God continue to bless our President His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and his government for encouraging Hon. Dr. Alhaji Alpha Bakarr Sahid Kanu to do more for his people and the country…
