Sierra Leoneans and West African community urged to vote for Franklin Prosecutor Bernice Jalloh

Franklin Township Prosecutor Mrs. Bernice Tina Jalloh will be contesting for the pobsition of County Surrogate during next Tuesday ;s elections in the United States .

surrogate is a judicial officer, elected by the people, to have jurisdiction over the probate of wills and the administration of estates,. If she wins the elections, she will have the authority to qualify executors and trustees named in wills.

She will also be able to appoint administrators for those who die without wills, and to appoint guardians for minors and legally incapacitated persons. … She will also be the custodian of the records of such estates, wills, guardianships, and adoptions. Each county has a Surrogate’s Court, with the Surrogate acting as the Judge of that court.

Mrs. Jalloh is the wife of popular and high-ranking Sierra Leonean community leader and former lecturer at the Essex County College, Professor Ben Jalloh.

At a meeting held with members of the West African community at the home of the Jallohs in Franklin Township, Sierra Leonean community leaders endorsed the candidature of Mrs. Jalloh and urged Sierra Leoneans and the West African community to vote for Mrs. Jalloh on Tuesday November 3.

Among many attendees , including township officials , who addressed the meeting were the Chairman of the Sierra Leone Community of New Jersey ( SLCNJ ), Mr. Lamin Alharazim and his Deputy Mr. Abdul Hardy Gabisi. Both men commended Mrs. Jalloh for the remarkable and proactive services she has rendered the country and this community and they urged all Sierra Leoneans and West Africans to come out in full to vote for her.

Several township officials took the podium to praise Mrs. Jalloh’s leadership qualities and express confidence that she will do another great job , as she did as County Prosecutor, if she is elected .

Her running mate Dough Singleterry, who will be contesting to be a Freeholder , in his contribution, said that Mrs. Jalloh is needed as the next Surrogate because she will make a difference .

Mrs. Jalloh herself explained what her responsibilities will be as Surrogate and assured attendees that she will serve the county to the best of her abilities, if elected.
