The Government of Sierra Leone led by President Maada Bio wrought more hardship on the people yesterday by increasing the price of fuel from Le 15, 000 per litre to Le 18, 000 , provoking an outcry of disenchantment and alarm from Sierra Leoneans on social media.
Correspondingly, transportation fares went up throughout the country in what is seen by the public as the inability of this government to effectively handle the economy and the affairs of the country.
The increases in fuel price and transportation comes at a most difficult time when the electricity situation has deteriorated in the country and there are blackouts everywhere.
My joy is that the fuel pump price is touching the untouchables and there is no separate market price for SLPP or OPPOSITIONS members. Let’s continue!
