“This is the first time in my 42 years as a member of this great party for a leader to take such a move by sending such a high-powered delegation to meet the party’s Diaspora branches”.
For the APC branch in Holland, Comrade Logus said the purpose of the team’s visit is to thank them immensely for their contributions to the success of the party especially the provision of the APC radio which he added contributed greatly to clinch victory for the party in 2007.
“The leadership of the party and the entire membership is very much grateful and appreciate your efforts”, he said amidst deafening applause from the jam-packed hall.
Comrade Logus Koroma furthered that the petty squabbles, acrimonies and indiscipline that is currently prevailing in other Diaspora branches is bringing an embarrassment to the party and such will no longer be tolerated, hence the mandate from the leader.
“We’ll tell them to borrow a leaf from the APC Holland chapter on how to live and work in harmony as members of the same party. Your executive and members in Holland will serve as pace-setters and role-models”.
Koroma added that since the next executive elections of the APC Holland chapter is in July next year, he admonished them to prepare a comprehensive list of the members and an operational party bank account of the branch,
Earlier, the branch’s Chairman, Ibrahim Bashir Kamara gave a summary of the branch’s achievements and contributions to the party during and after the 2007 and 2012 elections and some of the challenges the branch is presently experiencing.
